Dogs and cats are the preferred pets in urban Peru, according to the Peruvian Company of market studies and public opinion S.A.C., and businesses focused on pampering them are increasing in the country.
El Comercio revealed that as time goes by more services related to pets are being offered online and in social networks. They mention Balto Peru, a business that offers lodging service at 45 soles per 24 hours and includes fun outside, veterinary checkup, air conditioning and hammocks.
The service “Private taxi for pets” is also entering the market. It consists of a taxi where people can travel with their pets.
However, “Party Animal Show” is becoming more famous. This is a service that consists of preparing and planning your pet’s birthday party. It “includes a 20 cm diameter cake shaped like a paw, heart or bone and based on pure lamb or beef; 50 assorted snacks like minipizzas, empanaditas, truffles, lamb croissants and sweet potato crepes”, said El Comercio, adding that this costs around 150 soles and includes a gift hat and candle.
