Eating in Peru is always a fantastic experience, an the results from the most recent The World’s 50 Best Restaurant list confirms it. Once again, Lima as the epicenter for fine dining.
The celebration occurred in Valencia, Spain, where the who-is-who from the culinary world gathered together
Central, the restaurant led by Virgilio Martínez and his wife Pía León, was number one on the list, becoming the first Latin American restaurant and the first Peruvian since its creation 21 years ago.
Peru got four more spots on the list; in addition to Central being number one, Maido the Nikkei restaurant by Micha Tsumura in the top 10 in the 6th position. Pia León single owned restaurant Kjolle also placed on the 28th, and Mayta, led by Jaime Pesaque, was on the 47th spot.
