Perú in the eye of the storm

Share

It seems that Perú is right now in the eye of the storm. According to The  World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, the best restaurant in the world is Central, located in Lima and run by Virgilio Martinez and his wife Pía León, which also has her restaurant on the list. The Transformers were running all over Cusco and the jungle, and this year once again, the Inti Raymi event took place in Cusco, bringing thousands of people to honor the god sun and the Pachamama.

With the eyes of the world over Peru, this is the best moment to travel and visit us. There is so much to see, eat and enjoy in our country. The landmarks are outstanding, as you can also see in the most recent Transformers movie, the cultural heritage from the Incas that permeates everyday life from music to food. Foodwise, we have five restaurants on The World’s 50 Best list: Central (1), Maido (6), Kjolle (28), Mayta (47), and Mérito (59), the highest new entry on the extended 51 to 100 list. New bars are opening, and coffee shops are thriving..

This month will have the “Fiestas Patrias,” so the local patriotism will be showing its red and white colors all over the country; Peru will once again celebrate with music and great food. It will be the season of picarones and lomo saltado and a pisco sour to keep us warm.

We are still looking forward to connecting you to your best Peruvian experience. If you have any questions, contact us at our phone number +1 (213) 20221-8100
