Ceviche takes the top spot of South America’s most popular dishes for the second year in a row. Twenty other Peruvian dishes join the list compiled by the website TasteAtlas.
Will we ever tire of seeing ceviche celebrated around the world? Highly unlikely. The staple Peruvian dish continues to steal hearts and awards, and this year it keeps its crown as the most popular dish in South America.
Ceviche de pescado, the classic version made with raw fish, onions and marinated in lime, topped TasteAtlas’ list of 100 popular dishes. It leads the pack of a whopping 21 Peruvian dishes that were included. The list includes dishes from the coast, jungle and Andes. TasteAtlas is a a digital encyclopedia of food and drinks from around the world.
