In a ceremony held in Geneva, Switzerland, the Peruvian engineer Walter Sánchez Moyna received the Century International Quality Era Awards, for his valuable scientific contribution to innovation and technology.

“Receiving this award is the recognition of all these years of work and an incentive to continue developing quality technologies from Peru, my land and my inspiration, for the world,” he said after receiving the gold trophy for “Excellence, leadership, quality and technological innovation”, according to Andina news agency.

This award was presented by Business Initiative Directions Group One (BID), an entity that recognizes the contribution of companies and individuals to the development of science and technology throughout the world.

Sánchez’s award was given to his design of two software: DLT-CAD (electric power transmission lines) and Dired-CAD (electrical distribution networks of low and medium voltage), which allow obtaining precision in the development of projects aimed at expanding the electricity network.

These two systems allow the optimization of the execution times needed in projects by more than 80% and reduce their costs by more than 60%, explained the news agency.

Sanchez is an electric and electronic engineer, graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería. He is the founder of ABS Ingenieros. The company has already obtained several awards, such as Excellency in Quality Control, received in Colombia, and the Concytec.
